How to use a serum effectively?
-Prepare your skin: Start by cleansing your face and applying a toner. Clean skin allows for better absorption of actives.
-Choose the right serum: Depending on your specific needs (hydration, anti-aging, brightness, etc.), select a serum that targets your concerns. Ingredients like hyaluronic acid for hydration, salicylic acid for blemishes, or vitamin C for brightness can be good starting points.
-Apply sparingly: Given the concentrated and highly efficacious nature of facial serums, a minimal quantity is key to achieving the best results. For most serums, especially those with a fluid and lightweight texture designed for rapid absorption, two drops are usually sufficient to cover the entire face and neck area.Dispense the serum onto your fingertips and gently rub them together to slightly warm the serum, enhancing its penetration into the skin. Then, apply the serum to your face and neck with a soft, tapping motion. This technique helps stimulate circulation and ensures the serum is evenly distributed.
-Apply before your moisturizer: Serum should be applied to clean skin and before any creams, to lock in its benefits.
-Massage and pat: Gently massage the serum into your face in upward motions, then finish by lightly patting to stimulate microcirculation and promote absorption.
